I'm a freelance philosopher, an unpublished fiction writer, and a mostly-retired computer programmer.

Spiritually, I am some combination of Quaker, Taoist, and pagan.

I live in the mountains of western North Carolina, USA.

I am single and unattached (meaning: not in any romantic and/or sexual relationship). I live alone; I had a dog, who died on August 26, 2017.

Politically, I mostly vote for Democrats, and strongly disapprove of Donald Trump. However, my preferred political label is "moderate" (or, for those with some tolerance for apparent paradox, "radical moderate").
